Private Tuition in the Devon, Cornwall, Bristol & Taunton Area
As a well-established, nationwide company, Cloisters (Est. 1992) has developed a first-class reputation for providing quality individual tuition within the home. Our South West regional office covers Bristol, Taunton and their surrounding areas, and the whole of Devon and Cornwall. We offer 1-1 tuition in all subjects for all ages and abilities, including Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, GCSE, A-level, degree and adult education.
Why Choose a Cloisters’ Tutor?
Cloisters can offer the best of both worlds: a local, friendly office with the security and experience of a national company.
- Protection of Children. Our position as a CRB Umbrella Body illustrates the level of importance we place on the Protection of Children. Our tutors hold Enhanced Disclosures and references are always obtained.
- Free, friendly advice. The principal of this local office, being both a qualified teacher and parent herself, has a clear understanding of the educational system and will listen carefully to ascertain the needs of each individual pupil. You will always be able to speak to the same person and enquiries are dealt with promptly. Our ethos is personal and approachable.
- Quality Tuition. Cloisters tutors work to a ‘Code of Professional Conduct’ and must be qualified to degree equivalence. Many of our enquiries are a direct result of personal recommendations. Emphasis is placed on selecting a tutor according to the needs of the individual. Therefore, lessons are tailored to suit the academic and pastoral requirements in each situation. Our tutors plan lessons which closely follow the current curriculum requirements.
- Competitive Fees. Our set, inclusive fees compare favourably with those of other organisations and are VAT –free. We do not charge a registration fee. There are no hidden extras. Lessons are paid for on a lesson-by-lesson basis and there is no minimum number of lessons.
How Do We Work?
If you would like to discuss your requirements, our office would be happy to take your call, both during and often outside of normal office hours. There would be no obligation.
Should you choose to proceed with a Cloisters tutor, once the pupil needs have been discussed, a suitable tutor will be introduced to you. Lessons are conducted on a lesson-by-lesson basis and may therefore be stopped at any time with 24 hours notice.
Once an introduction has been set up and if you are happy with arrangements, confirmation in writing is made to both pupil and tutor.
You are welcome, at any stage during the course of tuition, to contact the office for further advice or information.
